Overview of PIPS organisation | |
Oxford University Innovation (OUI) is the technology transfer company of Oxford University. Each year, OUI receive hundreds of invention disclosures from the University, many resulting in new patents. We manage a large, diverse portfolio of intellectual property and our team work to bring these ideas to industry through licensing deals with commercial partners (~120 deals per year) or the creation of new spinout companies (235 since 1988) which have raised investment >£5bn since 2011. |

OUI has created an exciting opportunity for an internship working in our Licensing & Ventures (L&V) group. During your time with OUI, you will work on real world technology transfer and commercialisation projects. Working with the rest of the L&V team and university researchers you will:

Skills and experience you need to bring You should be enrolled on a degree or postgraduate programme; in any discipline, have an enquiring mind and a keen interest in how university research can create positive societal or environmental impact. You will demonstrate a passion for entrepreneurship and enterprise, and ideally possess some experience in related activities. You will also need to demonstrate excellent social relationship management skills and strong verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to demonstrate that your internship will be fully funded by an approved third-party scheme and be available to work on a 3-month full-time basis. |
