Internships with a publisher provide students who will stay in science with an insight into the publishing process – and for those students who may leave science, it could be an interesting alternative career. Projects will be data driven, to include publishing metrics (e.g. usage, citations and diversity data) and creation of a poster presenting the data around potential ethics issues. The Company may also be able to offer the right candidate an opportunity to contribute to the preLights preprint highlighting service or one of our other community blogs, but noting that this will not be the primary activity for the intern. |
