Overview of PIPS organisation
Zentraxa is a Synthetic Biology spin-out company from the University of Bristol, commercialising a biological process for synthetic peptide production. Using this technology, we can design bespoke peptides for applications as new materials, free from the manufacturing constraints that beset existing technology. We are developing peptide products tailored to meet end user requirements. Currently our projects focus on the development of new adhesives that show key advantages in flexibility, biocompatibility and biodegradability. Our primary application areas are currently transparent armour, medical and surgical adhesives and disbondable adhesives.
